Gin Road Mandingo
Black Hawaiian Ram 3 yrs of age

When a half starved Barbado sheep wandered up to the ranch 8 years ago, I never imagined I'd trade in all of my show goats to start raising trophy rams. What started out as an accident has turned into a serious breeding program.

A lot of things have changed over the last two years, the biggest being I got married and moved from Childress to White Deer. The move forced me to temporarily give up the sheep, as we've been unable to locate any suitable acreage where we are now, at least not for what we can afford in this destroyed economy. I have taken my herd down from over 100 head to just under 20, and have moved them to a friend's ranch 4 hours south. At this time, my breeding program is on hold, and I have no animals available for sale. I have eliminated the Painted Deserts and am running a promising Mandingo son over the remainder of the group.

I have also returned to school to change careers, and find I have almost no free time left now. It will probably be a year before I get the sheep back up to where they were. However, I will eventually get them going again, and that's why I'm leaving the site online.
